Sorensen, a self-taught artist, was raised in central Iowa and has accumulated a number of Top Awards and Honors for her water-based colored pencil works.

Her love for animals is obvious in her works, each expressing intense realism and a unique perspective. Today she enjoys the time with her horses and remains captivated by their power and grace.
